WANDA TYRE Enters Global Top 75 Tire Rankings Backed by Its In-House Brand HAKUBA

Released on August 25, 2023, the annual Global Top 75 Tire Manufacturers Rankings has unveiled a new cohort of rising tire players across the globe. Four manufacturers secured new entries to this year’s prestigious list: China’s Zhengdao Tire and WANDA TYRE (Tianjin Wanda Tire), Pakistan’s Panther Tire, and India’s Larson Tire, bringing fresh competition and growth momentum to the worldwide tire industry.

WANDA TYRE HAKUBA branded truck tire with deep tread pattern

Standing out among the new entrants, Chinese manufacturer WANDA TYRE claimed the 60th spot on the 2023 Global Top 75 list, with an annual sales revenue of USD 239 million. Founded in 1998, the company originally specialized in two-wheeler tire production. Through decades of steady expansion and technical accumulation, WANDA TYRE now operates three manufacturing bases in Tianjin and Xingtai, Hebei Province, with a diversified product lineup covering two-wheeler tires, passenger car tires, agricultural tires and special-purpose tires.

HAKUBA is a core premium brand fully developed and owned by WANDA TYRE, serving as a key strategic asset for the company’s high-end and global market expansion. Complemented by its other proprietary brands including Armor, Halberd, Journey and WDT, WANDA TYRE covers segmented markets worldwide with tailored product solutions. As the flagship two-wheeler tire brand of the group, HAKUBA has earned robust international market recognition for its high performance, durability and riding comfort, becoming a vital driving force behind WANDA TYRE’s breakthrough entry into the global top-tier tire rankings.

Another new Chinese entrant, Zhengdao Tire, debuted impressively at 44th place, recording USD 371 million in sales for the 2022 fiscal year. Established in Heze, Shandong in 2011, the company has integrated the assets of three local tire manufacturers — Shandong Yuelong Rubber Group, Huadong Tire and Shandong Kaixuan Rubber. Its annual tire production capacity reached 20 million units in 2021, encompassing passenger, light truck and heavy-duty truck tires.

Pakistan-based Panther Tire secured the 74th position with a fiscal 2021 sales revenue of USD 126 million. Headquartered in Lahore and formerly known as Mian Tyres, the company’s fiscal year ends on June 30, meaning its official sales data for the 2022–2023 fiscal year has not yet been released.

India’s Larson Tire ranked 75th globally with a fiscal 2021 sales volume of USD 122.8 million. Founded in 1974, the company started with bicycle tire production and expanded to automobile tire manufacturing in 2000, evolving into one of the fastest-growing automotive tire brands in India. Currently, its annual TBR tire production capacity exceeds 1 million units, with ongoing capacity expansion plans in place. To accelerate its global layout, Larson Tire set up a U.S. subsidiary at the end of 2022, focusing on supplying high-quality TBR tires with low total ownership costs for local truck fleets and independent vehicle operators, and is actively accelerating its penetration into the North American market.

The inclusion in the Global Top 75 Tire Manufacturers marks a major milestone in WANDA TYRE’s internationalization journey. Moving forward, the company will continue to boost R&D investment, empower its global expansion with the high-end influence of its self-owned brand HAKUBA, and deliver high-quality, cost-effective and eco-friendly tire products to global customers.
